Premier Orthopaedics, the largest Orthopaedics practice in Delaware County, has joined forces with Crozer-Keystone—the region’s largest health system. The result is an unprecedented spectrum of musculoskeletal specialties and unequaled access to care. Crozer-Keystone Health System comprises five hospitals, a comprehensive physician network of primary care and specialty practices, and the Healthplex® Sports Club. These facilities house a Level 2 trauma center, a regional burn center, two regional cancer centers, a fertility center, three sleep disorders centers, and a U.S. Olympic Committee designated sports science and technology center. In 1996, the Springfield Hospital location expanded with the addition of the Healthplex Campus, a comprehensive health, wellness and fitness facility. With more than 1,100 physicians and 6,800 total employees, Crozer-Keystone is the largest employer in Delaware County. The health system became one of only six health care organizations in the nation to be honored with a VHA Leadership Award, which the health system earned for its Evidence-Based Medicine Program. A leader in community health, Crozer-Keystone provides services and programs that meet the medical and social needs of thousands of Delaware County’s residents each year. The American Hospital Association awarded Crozer-Keystone with a NOVA Award for its excellence and innovation in community health.
Premier Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Associates was formed in 2000 with a mission to provide high quality, comprehensive and accessible care to patients. Representing the largest specialty group in Pennsylvania, our specialists’ expertise range from hand and joint replacement to sports injuries involving the knees and shoulders. Many of Premier’s physicians are affiliated with professional sports teams, professional dance companies and athletes from high schools, colleges and U.S. Olympic teams. Group specialties include orthopaedic surgery, physiatry (rehabilitation medicine), neurology, primary care sports medicine and podiatry. Additional services include a Pain Management Program and EMG testing. In September of 2007, Premier opened the doors of its new Orthopaedic Urgent Care facility. This will allow for immediate access to orthopaedic care, reducing time spent in the Emergency Room. Their dedication and personal approach to care ensures that patients are receiving the exact treatment prescribed in a professional, caring environment.
